That sky is fire
While imaging up at Smith and Morehouse it got pretty cold at night (it was actually snowing when I got up there around 7pm), so I decided to get a fire going to warm up. Thought it looked pretty cool being right next to the reservoir with the mountains in the background so I tried grabbing a few shots in front of the fire. It was roaring pretty good with the breeze, unfortunately the Sigma Art 35mm has quite a bit of lens flare problems which made getting a long exposure of the fire tricky. Shortly after this clouds rolled in and I decided to call it a night.
4 shots went into this one, 2 for the sky and 2 for the foreground, all shot back to back with my Nikon D800E and Sigma Art 35mm f1.4 lens on a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer tracking mount. Sky shots are 2.5 minutes at ISO 800 and f2.8, foreground shots are 1.5 minutes at ISO 800 and f2.8.
