Sawtooth Lake Airglow
This is a shot from Sawtooth lake taken back in August during the Perseid meteor shower. Later in the night the airglow to the northeast got tremendously bright, I had made my way back to my campsite from where I was shooting with Andy and Casey (you can see Casey's headlight if you look real close in the middle/left of the image). I set up my camera to take about 4 hours worth of timelapse hoping to catch some meteors coming from the radiant, overall not a great shower, but I loved the airglow in this shot. Better later than never, decided to finish editing it and post it, LOVE the ruggedness of the area in those mountains.
6 exposures for this image, all taken with my Nikon D800E and Sigma Art 35mm on a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer tracking mount. Foreground exposures were 4 minutes at f2 and ISO 1600, sky exposures for 4 minutes at f2.8 and ISO 800.
