Stanley Lake Inlet
The inlet to Stanley Lake provides for some interesting and difficult composition opportunities, with McGown Peak towering behind the lake and the endless lodgepole pines lining it the inlet makes for awesome setting. We quickly setup here and got some shots before turning around and doing some imaging of the Northern Lights that appeared that night along the northern horizon. No matter how many times I shoot around this lake it remains one of my favorite locations.
6 exposures went into this image, all shot with a Nikon Z7 and Sigma Art 40mm on a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer Mini tracking mount. Sky exposures are 2 minutes at ISO 800 and f2, foreground exposures are 2 minutes at ISO 3200 and f1.4.
