Log Thoughts

Just sittin on a log, enjoying the view. This is the best part about doing all this crazy milky way photography stuff, you stay up all night, deprive yourself of any rest, exhaust yourself stumbling through the dark carrying tons of gear, have to remember a million settings and little details....but then...silence. you realize you're alone in the middle of some amazing place, your eyes become adjusted and it hits you, you're staring at the universe spinning by. In a place like this the sky is so dark you can see soooo much. It just blows my mind.

4 shots for this one, 2 for the sky and 2 for the foreground, shot with my Nikon D800E and Sigma Art 35mm lens on a Skywatcher Star Adventurer tracking mount. All shots are 4 minutes at ISO 800, sky shots are f2.8, foreground shots are f1.4.
