River Runs Through It
Holy crap, what an indescribably awesome five days at the cabin. You know it was good when this is the crappiest picture I took. Overall I managed some of the best Milky Way shots I've ever taken and got to experience a legitimate life bucket list item, unexpectedly, that'll I'll share as well. Lots more to come over the next few days when I get it all sorted.
This is a pano put together just outside Stanley, where what is normally just a small river has swelled over its banks thanks to the heavy winter snows rapidly melting off the Sawtooth Mountains. Sky shots are 4 minute exposures at ISO 800 and f2.8, foreground shots are 4 minute exposures at ISO 1600 and f2, all shot back to back with my Nikon D800E and Sigma Art 35mm f1.4 lens on a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer tracking mount.
