2019 Chile Total Solar Eclipse
My final composition of the 2019 Total Solar Eclipse shot from La Silla Observatory in Chile. I HDR combined 9 exposures from totality to get the corona and foreground, then combined 18 exposures from first contact to last contact. The layering of the pre and post totality pictures isn't at the exact location, as the sun dipped low on the horizon during last contact it became nearly impossible to see along the band of atmosphere in this shot so I had to compress distance. All exposures are shot with a Nikon Z7 and Nikkor 24-70mm f4s at 70mm, pre and post totality shot with a solar filter. It's amazing how orange the sun got after the eclipse ended thanks to the low position along the horizon.
