A Butteful Milky Way
Another incredible weekend of travels with @utahastrophotography in the books and damn was it an amazing weekend. Got to check a bucket list location, which has eluded me for the last 3 years, off the list and we had 3 great nights of shooting. So many pictures to edit, but I had to start with this one, it's just such a surreal location and one that pictures don't do much justice. As this location has managed to avoid overcrowding and what will certainly be an eco-disaster if it does become crowded I'm not sharing location details, sorry not sorry. So just enjoy what's a pretty good picture of a pretty incredible place and know quite a bit of effort went into planning an executing this one.
15 exposures went into this image, 9 for the sky and 6 for the foreground, all taken with a Nikon Z7 and Sigma Art 85mm on a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer Mini tracking mount. Sky exposures are 2 minutes at iso 800 and f2, foreground exposures are 4 minutes at iso 800 and f1.4.
